Alright, I just got back from my doctor appointment. According to him I am now 40 weeks. It is in his 'professional opinion' that we induce next week... I told him I prefer to wait. I'm 34+3 weeks. I'm also gestational diabetic, needing insulin. and I'm having twins.

Lately (the last 3-4 days) movement has slowed down (i have nurses seeing me 2x a week at home) and I'm doing kick counts. its was taking about 20 min about 2 weeks ago to get my 6 kicks from each baby, now its taking way over an hour.

Okay...my daughter is measuring at 42 weeks right now...does that necessarily mean my uterus is also a 42 week uterus? I ask because I know thatt after the 42nd week, the uterus can start to deteriorate and if I'm only 37 (or 39) weeks along, that would me she still has a few weeks left to go in an overdue uterus, which worries me.  I have been measuring small for several weeks now and had an ultrasound 2 weeks ago (at 33, almost 34 weeks) to make sure there was not a problem.  The baby was measuring in the 41st percentile- so small but still normal- and amniotic fluid looked good.  Today, my midwife also mentioned that the placenta was at "stage 3" at the time of the ( Read more... )

( Overdue - how safe is it - how long is too long )

My due dates tomorrow. But I get this feeling it's not going to happen tomorrow but maybe a week later or so.

How long for it to be okay on the whole being over-due?
